Participating is easy!

The easiest way to get involved is talking to a few of your neighbours and inviting them to participate with you on September 29th. Although more and more people are learning about Secondhand Sunday, please assume no one on your block knows about the initiative. A successful event is as simple as a few of your neighbours participating with you!

Help us spread the word!

Secondhand Sunday relies entirely on the work of volunteers. Please invite your friends and neighbours in Toronto to sign up for our mailing list. We promise not to spam you! You can also RSVP on our SHS Facebook Event Page, where we will be posting photos of available goods and their general location on September 29th. It's a great place to engage with fellow waste champions.

Secondhand Sunday Champions

A Secondhand Sunday "Champion" is a volunteer who helps to bring the event to their community by sharing information with neighbours and local organizations. For those Secondhand Sunday Champions who would like to bring the event to an even greater number of people on your street or neighbourhood, please check out the Do-It-Yourself Guide in the TOOLKIT section. You'll also find lots of great resources in our Toolkit including links to community maps, councillor lists,  posters and flyers to help you bring SHS to your community!

Following YOUR event please send us an email about how it goes!

Secondhand Sunday is on September 29th, 2019

Mark your calendars! The next round of Secondhand Sunday will take place across Toronto on September 29th, 2019 from 9am-5pm.

Building on previous years, last April's event was a huge success. Thanks to our incredible volunteers and a new partnership with the City of Toronto, Secondhand Sunday was held in neighbourhoods all across the city! Let's keep up the great momentum!
